What is the Cost of a Thoroughbred License?

Licence fees are due in full at time of issuance.
Fees can be paid by cash, cheque, or credit card (not available at all locations).
Some pro-rating exceptions can be made at the discretion of the ORC licensing agent. Pre-requisites are required for obtaining various licences.

Thoroughbred Fee Schedule
Effective July 1, 2006, individual licence fees charged by the Ontario Racing Commission for participation in Thoroughbred horse racing in the Province of Ontario are as follows:

Except where an agreement is in place between Ontario and another jurisdiction to honour each other’s licences at no extra cost, an applicant who resides outside the province is required to pay the appropriate fees.
