Where do I go to get my ORC licence?
ORC Licensing Offices are located at every racetrack across the province and are open on race day. Please check the hours of operation at the track to confirm availability of agents. Licences can also be obtained at ORC Head Office, located downtown Toronto. Please call ahead to setup an appointment.

How do I renew my ORC licence?
Standardbred licensees must renew their licences by their birthdate. Renewal forms are mailed out as a courtesy but it is the licensee’s responsibility to make sure they are renewed by the expiry date. The application can be made by following either of the methods described above.

All thoroughbred licences expire on March 31st of any given year. An individual wishing to renew their application should go to the ORC Licensing Office at Woodbine or Fort Erie Racetracks in the spring of each year. Call ahead to confirm hours of operation.

Quarter Horse licences also expire on March 31st of any given year. Individuals wishing to renew can attend at the ORC offices at the thoroughbred tracks or can attend at Ajax Downs on the licensing day which is arranged for the start of the season. Contact the ORC Supervisor of Thoroughbred Racing at Woodbine Racetrack for information on dates and times (416) 675-3993 x2237

  • Detailed information, including birthdate, address and emergency contact information.
  • Picture Identification (i.e. Ontario Drivers Licence).
  • Standardbred Canada or USTA Licence Number (if applicable for Standardbred licensing).
