About the ORC

Expense Disclosure

The public disclosure of expenses is an important part of the government's commitment to protect taxpayer dollars, improve transparency and increase accountability.

The Public Sector Expenses Review Act, 2009, requires a review of the travel, meal and hospitality expenses incurred by Board Members, the senior management team and, if not already reviewed, the top five claimants at the ORC.

Within 60 days of the end of each quarter of the fiscal year, the ORC submits to the Integrity Commissioner of Ontario, for review, the travel, meal and hospitality expenses claimed by the ORC Board of Directors and the Senior Management Team during that quarter.

Upon completion of the review by the Integrity Commissioner, the expenses are subsequently posted for public viewing on the ORC's website.

In addition, on an annual basis, the travel, meal and hospitality expenses of the five highest claimant employees will also be posted, following a review by the Integrity Commissioner. The top five claimants are defined as those individuals whose total aggregated travel, meal and hospitality expense claims over the twelve month period ended March 31, are the highest at the ORC.

It should be noted that certain work related expense claims of those individuals designated under the Public Sector Expenses Review Act, 2009, may not appear on this site because the expenses are not related to travel, meals or hospitality.
